Watching the IFTAs on television recently, I saw "Blood of the Irish" win in the television documentary series category. While having a lot to admire as a programme, I was saddened to see it considered the best of it's genre.
I heard a really interesting ad on RTE Radio 1 this morning. It was one of those quirky scripts where we hear a bunch of vegetables in a garden bemoaning the fact that some of their stronger, fitter drill buddies were grown from a particular brand of seed. Although I have no real interest in gardening, the copy caught my attention and engaged. However, the call to action was a direction to the company website, on a .co.uk domain.
Sky have recently launched Supertelly, a seemingly all-encompassing term for their existing service. Things have been simplified. Now everyone gets a Sky+HD box on subscribing and things are, erm, Super. The old Sky+ box is gone, apparently and the standard digibox is only available as part of a multiroom package. Sky are to be applauded for simplifying matters and consolidating their offerings. However, there are some things they could do better.
